There are a great number of very impressive dedicated Home Theatre’s in Australia; we have had a hand in many of them. (One of the best is in Mark Jeisman’s Surround Custom showroom in Western Australia.)

However when it comes to sheer over-the-top theatres you have to hand it to the USA. Many American Home Theatres are so glitzy that they hold little visual appeal for me, other than to wonder at the amount of money that must have been thrown at the project.

This one caught my eye for all of the right reasons – the equipment used has been of a very high quality, the room has been acoustically designed, and it is a comfortable and serviceable environment as well.

Obviously money was not an objection, the complex housing the theatre, which is annexed to the main home, also includes a swimming pool, basketball court, sauna, gym, kitchen and office. The electric reclining chairs were custom made, complete with built-in massage and heating. The theatre itself is 600sq ft, and is centered around a 174” Stewart screen.

(Yes – the dog chair was specially designed!)
